Charles Frost

Director of Golf

Charles was born and raised in Gainesville, Georgia, where he fell in love with golf at an early age. Charles played college golf at Emory University, where he earned All-American honors. Charles was involved in all aspects of the golf business during his time at Quail Hollow while working for Scott Davenport. Following a three-year stint as Head Professional at Kiawah Island Club in Charleston, South Carolina, he accepted the Director of Golf position at Old Town in 2015. Charles and his wife, Elizabeth, have one child, Charlie, who was born shortly before they moved to Winston-Salem. In 2015 Charles also played in the PGA Championship at Whistling Straights, and in 2017 Charles was named Carolinas PGA Player of the Year.

Garrett Hill

Head Golf Professional
Born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina, Garrett grew up working and playing golf at the Greenville Country Club. After graduating from the College of Charleston in 2007, Garrett started his PGA apprenticeship at the Kiawah Island Club, where he worked as an Assistant Golf Professional for five years. In 2014, Garrett accepted a position at the Frederica Golf Club in St. Simon's Island, Georgia, where he found a passion for learning about the golf swing and teaching by shadowing nationally recognized golf instructors, including Hank Smith, Todd Anderson, Jack Lumpkin, Mike Bender, and Mike Shannon.

William Hammer

Assistant Golf Professional
William was born and raised in Marion, Virginia, where he developed a passion for golf at the age of 13. This passion led him to a career in golf soon thereafter when he secured a job at the age of 14 working with the outside services at the Holston Hills Country Club in Knoxville, Tennessee. William attended the College of William and Mary and graduated in 2009 with a degree in American Studies. He accepted the Assistant Golf Professional position at Old Town Club in June 2015. For the past two winters, William has worked seasonally at the Isleworth Club in Orlando, Florida before returning to Old Town every spring. 

Tommy Gibson

Assistant Golf Professional
Tommy was born in Miami, Florida, but spent most of his childhood in Wilmington, North Carolina. He is the son of a golf professional and started playing golf at the age of 3. Tommy has been a golf professional since 2008. He has played on many golf tours and has worked at the following clubs: Bent Pine in Vero Beach, Florida; Quail Hollow in Charlotte, North Carolina; and Ocean Reef in Key Largo, Florida. He recently married his Mount Airy sweetheart, Kasie Tolbert. Tommy has worked at Old Town since May 2016. Tommy has also finished in the top 3 in both the 2018 North and South Carolina Open Championships.
